Distortion/Limiting

Hi All

I have uploaded a very small audio file from Organteq - Its a heavy section but the volume is -7dB no limiting no reverb and it is not clipping in the plugin or Cubase. To me it sounds like its still being limited/and or distorting. Is this correct?
