Bach BWV 553 Prelude and fugue  (Organteq 2)

Presets: Romantic Church Crescendo  and Baroque Church

22 stops used and couplers Pos/G.O.  Rec/G.O.  and   Rec/Pos (all 3 manuals together) + pedal

I tried to choose a slightly different registration than the one people usually use, 8' 4' 2' when playing chorales in a church service, for example.  Organteq still gives us so many possibilities with registration and modifications.

Good Job STIG !!!!

I like your performance ! In terms of style, it seems that the Bach wanted to follow the Italian taste for chamber music or church sonatas.

The theme of the «Prelude» also recalls me the first movement of the «Sonata» n. 5. It is presented in an imitative form and, due to its character and partly also due to its elaboration, it recalls the Concerto Grosso.

The «Fughetta» in its simplicity and  its joyful character does not present elements worthy of particular note. Probably Bach wanted to put the students in a position to make their first contact with this musical form, presenting it to them in its simplest guise.

Thank you so much for sharing it! Do you have recorded also  others pieces from Eight Short Prelude and Fugue ?

Thank you carmelo for your kind comment. Regarding question  "Do you have recorded also  others pieces from Eight Short Prelude and Fugue ?" I can say yes I have, I think I have seven recorded, Bwv 557 and 559 are missing, I began to record these 2020, I have forgot that one, have to record it with Orgtq 2.  I shall make a post with all of them in a row  Stay tuned     Most of them are with Organteq 1,  some with Organteq 2.
