Topic: Casio PX-S6000 keybed click has developed

Didn't do this before. Keybed has always been a tad noisy, but now some keys have developed a very pronounced click/squeek

Anyone else have this or heard this before? Was wondering if this is a common/known issue

Seems like the felt padding might be a bit loose under a few keys. It is very frequent with Yamaha keyboards P45, P145 , CLP745. Some other piano actions such a  Roland PHA4 are prone to clicking keys , but for a different reason ( lack of grease at the joint) and the clicking sound is different as it superposes to the sound produced by the key hitting the key bed which doesn't seems to be what happens here.   It is annoying  but easy to fix by taking the keyboard to your vendor in order to replace the felt.

I sent it off to Casio, they replaced the keybed unit.

It is so much better now. No squeaks. Much less rattle too. Even when brand new it wasn't this solid.

I suspect previous keybed was either iffy or simply an early build.

Odd that it should degrade so quickly before. Let's hope it is better this time.

So pleased you've got it sorted. Enjoy playing now.

Warmest regards,
