Topic: Envelope effect

I tried doing this with equializer.

I want the timber of playing A0-C3 at fff but I don't want the volume of it.

When I used the equalizer to drop the volume of the lower bands, it reduces the volume of the fundamental, and first few harmonics, as well as sub fundamental harmonics.

What I would like to have is "max volume" envelope". that I could sketch in.  In this way, I get the timbre I want but not at a. high volume.

Is there a way to do this with Standard?

You could adjust this in layers perhaps?

Have you tried combined layers of exactly the same instrument preset but with different/modified settings per instrument layer?

Re: Envelope effect

I agree that layering is good possibility.  Also, you could try heavy compression (or even a hard limiter) along with a lower applied to that range which might also work.  Not being exactly sure what you're trying to achieve or blend the sound with, much of this is really guesswork on my part.  You might also have better control within a DAW than standalone, if you're wanting more pianos or control than the default layering options in standalone.
