Topic: Scarlett 2i2 4th gen does not work with Raspberry 4B

I installed Pianoteq on a Reaspberry 4B with a  X400 DAC card and I want to compare the output with the Scarlett 2i2. I connected my Roland to the USB of the 4B and the other USB to the Scarlett. In Pianoteq I see a list of several interfaces for the Scarlett, but the only two that seems working are:

  • Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen, USB Audio; Direct hardware device without any conversion

  • Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen, USB Audio; Direct sample mixing device

Audio output

whichever I choose there is no sound coming from the Scarlett hearphones output. Am I doing anything wrong?

It's embarrassing to say that now it's working wihtout any change.

It's evindent that I was doing something wrong before but I cannot understand what. However now everything works like charm, thanks anyway.

The result of my comparison is in favour of X400 card: the sound is sharper and I personally like it more than Scarlett's.
