Topic: Newbie Question: How To Disable Background Sustain

Hello. This is especially noticeable when using the Concert Harp(sustain, reverb and delay are turned off, I know sustain pedal is inverted for the harp, aside from the la piano preset)
but no matter what, there is always an almost metallic reverb/sustain like effect when I play. I'm using on three different devices.
This doesn't happen on piano. Just the harpsichords(blanchet and grimaldi) and  both harps.

Any advice? Thank you!

I suspect you're hearing Sympathetic Resonance; try lowering the control in the Design section.

Re: Newbie Question: How To Disable Background Sustain

This is completely normal and an essential part of the harpsichord sound, especially Italian ones.

When only one of the stops is engaged, the dampers for the other stop are actually in the raised position, producing a rich, reverb-like resonance.  This is different from later Flemish or French harpsichords.

Ah ha. I see. Thank you both for the insight.
