Topic: Forscore 14.3.2 mutes PTQ8 (8.4) on my iPad.

Hello!

My keyboard, Kawai ES120 has stable connection with Pianoteq8 via USB or Bluetooth Midi. In Forscore I have set page turning to be triggered by Midi messages sent by the two leftmost pedals of the ES120.

Just recently I noticed that when Forscore is topmost on the display then it mutes Pianoteq. This happens with using either USB or BT Midi connection between ES120 and Ptq8. I haven't noticed this happening with older versions. One other indication of this bug(?) is that if I change the Ptq connection to USB and then play while Forscore is topmost then the keys pressed remain red in the Ptq keyboard when I switch back to Ptq (with BT the keys return white). I may need to ask Forscore support too but does anyone have a clue about this problem?

Make sure Settings/MIDI/Synthesizer is unchecked.

Presumably, you have background audio turned on in pt8?

Yes, Synth has always been unchecked and background in PTQ enabled.

After several restarts of all devices, piano, iPad, UR22, USB hub it seems to have settled for now and works at least so that PTQ uses BT and midi reserved for Forscore.
