Sunflower Slow Drag

Who in the world comes up with such a strange idea to play ragtime on a church organ??
Well, Stig!   I’m experimenting with everything possible and impossible, and not even half of it gets uploaded. I don’t approve everything for the forum, even though I’m having fun working with Ptq/Orgtq

"Sunflower Slow Drag" is a ragtime composition byScott Joplin  and Scott Hayden. It has been described as "full of gaiety and sunshine”. Published 1901.

It’s a musical style that had its peak from the 1890s to 1910s.
Ragtime originated in African American music in the late 19th century and descended from the jigs and march music played by African American bands, referred to as "jig piano" or "piano thumping.
Ragtime was one of the main influences on the early development of jazz (along with the blues).

All the best, everyone
