Topic: A strange thing happened to my presets list...

I was tidying up my list of Pianoteq presets, and I seem to have messed it up -
now when I click on the preset drop down, there are no dividers any more, splitting it up into different presets for different instruments - the whole thing is just listed alphabetically.

I tried reinstalling Pianoteq but it stayed the same.
What did I do?

Re: A strange thing happened to my presets list...

Yes, that's a feature that is probably more disturbing than useful. You have clicked on one of the headers of the preset list in the preset manager , that triggers sorting the presets by name / instrument (the default) / bank . Just click on the "instrument" header to restore the original ordering of presets.

Maybe we should just remove that feature.

Well, there's an advantage to being able to list presets by name--we can name presets with numerals at the start (1 C3 Rock piano, 1 M3 Classical, etc). That way, we can have them all together if we sort by preset name, or have them appear with their cousins if we click on the Instrument header.

Oh, I *see*! lol
Well, I have fixed it now.
I think the problem is that whilst clicking on the header in the Preset Manager to control the listing order is standard Windows behavior,
I did not expect it to carry over into the other drop-down list in the main screen
