Topic: Pianoteq as VST in Sibelius and/or Dorico

I have been using Pianoteq in both Sibelius Ultimate and Dorico 5 Elements with almost perfect result. The only problem I am having is with the DAMPER PEDAL.

I need Pianoteq to respond to the "Pedal Down" and "Pedal Up" commands in BOTH Sibelius and Dorico.

Can you please tell me how to do this?

Thanking you in advance,

Glenn

I use Pianoteq in Dorico 5 Elements and I haven’t been having any problem with this. In my experience, Dorico can be a bit flaky with pedal lines, but they seem to drive Pianoteq properly as far as I can tell.

My apologies if this is a silly question, but are you certain you are using the correct pedal markings for this? Click the icon on the right side for Playing Techniques (beneath Holds and above Lines), then open the Keyboard section to find Ped.? You select a note in one of the keyboard staves first, then click Ped., then stretch the line as far as you need. (I might have made changes in the defaults to get the line to be the default... there are so many settings in Dorico I cannot remember which ones I’ve altered. With a pedal mark selected, you can open the bottom panel to change whether it uses a line or an asterisk to indicate duration.)

In the Play window, for the part assigned to Pianoteq I use the default expression map.

Thank you Coises, that worked - I have no idea why it didn't work for me previously -- must have been "operator-error" on my part
