Topic: Quiet Now (Pianoteq)

here's a beautiful ballad by Denny Zeitlin, "Quiet Now."  he's a rather unusual player in that his day job was being a professor in the medical school at UCSF, one of the top medical schools in the US.  but he's also one of the best players around.  there are some great performances of Monk tunes by him on YT, absolutely outstanding.  anyway, this ballad is by far his most famous composition, since Bill Evans performed it often and even released an album by the same name.

Delicate ! It has a Giovanni Mirabassi vibe (to me).

Re: Quiet Now (Pianoteq)

Awesome performance/interpretation budo! Soon becoming the stuff of legend.

If I could play like this, I'd be happy. I like this ”Dreamlike” playing…aah, feels good to listen to this, the flow the flow...

I don’t comment sections or ending this time, I just want to sit and listen and enjoy your playing
Thank you budo.

Best wishes,

Stig

thank you for your lovely comments!  i'm glad you dug the flow.  but let me tell you, this was definitely not the first take.  some of the others had the flow of a train derailment
