Beautiful music, and your description is perfect, and the name is perfect, and Images is perfect for the collection - Debussy is literally painting with music. His music is magic. Good examle of impressionism. Sounds a bit like improvising and he wanted people to think like that. The father of modern composition…

I read somewhere that this is obviously a great influence later on Duke Ellington, as his number, Reflections in D, shows a great reminiscence of Claude Debussy's chord. I listened to that one too.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Your insight into the connection between Debussy and Duke Ellington is fascinating. It's well-known that the Japanese contemporary composer Toru Takemitsu once mentioned Duke Ellington as a musician he would have liked to study under in his younger days.
