Topic: Original piano suite - "Two Haikus"

This piano suite is inspired by the Japanese short poem 'Haiku'.

These two pieces are twins in relation, with one inverting the high and low notes of the other.

1. Raindrops

2. The Sound of Waves

I would be happy if you enjoy it.

Very interesting music. I can actually think I hear raindrops (as in the Chopin raindrop prelude) but in a much more modern style.

Same with the sound of waves, I can imagine standing on a beach and listening. Personally, I like sound of waves more, and what a fantastic
modern ending, I love the end chord !

Thank you HAL for sharing.
Keep going!

Best wishes,

Stig

Hi HAL, both are very nice, I can hear the relationship. I have a slight preference for The Sound of Waves where is it more on the warm side with Raindrops cooler. Thanks for sharing!

Stig, Ken, Thank you for your comment!
These two pieces were actually created concurrently.

Best regards
