At first I have to say, one of the most sentimental melodies..feels like I am at water, a river or something that I have to explore..follow..
When looking at your hands playing, have said it before,  I’m  inspired by your interpretation and for how much love you probably have for the music. Thank you Paul for this rendition.

And the last arpeggios at the end from about 3,50 are so beautiful ending.

My top 3 Debussy are Arabesque, Clair de lune and Reverie. Reverie is so magical, Debussy can express feelings in his music. A dreamy atmosphere.

I don’t know if you have played Reverie here before I found you, but it would be nice if you could play Reverie too.

Reverie, the music I could listen to just before and when I die and close my eyes and my soul goes ……. home. Played by a pianist like you, not my own short simple version I tried 2021.

Thank you Paul

All the best,

Stig

Re: Arabesque debussy

After such a detailed analysis by Stig, there's no need to go into further details...
All I can say is that this is a beautyful interpretation of this Arabesque.
What's more, it makes me want to revisit the Bechstein Venue.
Merci Paul et bravo !

Re: Arabesque debussy

Hey Gaston,
Thanks for the kind words.
Well, the bechstein venue is not at all perfect for everything, but it goes quite well with smooth dynamics of Debussy.
All the best
paul.
