Topic: Virtual Instrument Classical Guitar

Dear Forum,

I found a new instrument in "Pianoteq", which is a guitar. I am a bit confused about this. This leads me to ask two questions:

If the guitar is a new instrument, why don't I see a new rubric likee "GUITARTEQ" but instead find the guitar under the piano product line?
Can I use this software with a MIDI guitar like: https://www.thomann.de/de/zivix_jamstik_classic_vc.htm? Since at the end of the day, I don't want to play a guitar on my keyboard.

Thank you for your advice
Stephan

It's designed for use with a piano style keyboard. However whether or not you can use a different type of MIDI controller is mainly down to your personal playing skills with that midi instrument. You could even use a midi wind controller - albeit with significant limitations.

There's also no separate versions for harp, Harpsichord, Clavinet, tubular bells, xylophone, steel drum..

Here’s a guitarist’s take on using a MIDI guitar with Pianoteq’s guitar:
