Topic: How Do I Control Panning for Microphone Outpus?

As per the title, I'm a little confused as to how to route microphones within Pianoteq, and then into my DAW (Cubase).

To my understanding, I can set as many outputs on a microphone as I want, with the parameters 'level', 'delay' and 'reversed polarity'. I'm guessing this is so that I can achieve cool effects or stereo using only 1 microphone.

What I am trying to accomplish is to have 2 separate mono tracks in my DAW that represent 1 of 2 microphones using traditional micing techniques (AB, XY, ORTF, etc), that I can balance and pan separately from within my DAW. What I'm guessing is I set 1 mic to output 1, and the other to output 2 but, I don't see a way to output both of these internal "pianoteq" outputs as 2 separate outputs from the VST itself into my DAW. Rather, they both output from my VST as a single output.

I've never done this - but a quick look would seem to suggest that you will need to first, enable Aux outputs under the VSTi window (usually found to the right of the main window). You can enable up to 3.

Then in PianoTeq under the microphones you will see the extra outputs available and you can set the microphone levels here.

Second under your channel you can open the drop down to see all the AUX channels and route these to what you like - effects, sends, panning etc.

Like I said, I've never done this - but this is what I discovered after a quick glance. I like Cubase a lot...

Hope that helps ???
