Topic: Time Eternal : Guitars, piano and drums

From latest album with all songs having bass guitar (Pianoteq), lead guitar (Pianoteq), rhythm guitars x 4 (Pianoteq), piano (Pianoteq NY Steinway D Jazz preset), drums (Modo).

Similar to my recent albums, but finally added a piano in a way that I am happy with, more selective beat representation and additional effects on the rhythm guitars to give them a bit smoother sound.

Interesting with the addition of the piano, I think I hear it at regular intervals, maybe it could be in even more, and maybe more instruments later.
Anyway, it is logically, ”aesthetically” integrated, ordered. As I hear it with my tinnitus, it is panned to the left - gives a bit more stage. More coherent piece.

BTW, my favorite no 1 of all your production is for now Onyx. Listen to it again, I love the space, the wide stage and the solo in the middle Very well done!

Thank you for your feedback Stig! Good points about the piano, I might actually like the Bluthner more in this kind of mix. Which is slightly odd as prior to my current guitar trend I did a lot of piano items but rarely decided the Bluthner was the best for my ears. I will experiment with a little panning of the piano and lead as they are both center at this point along with bass and drums so perhaps a little crowded stage at this point. Thanks!

Very glad to hear you like the Onyx track. The whole Onyx album focused on the Harmonic Minor scale combined with Dorian mode, so it does have a certain quality.

Thanks for your feedback Borealis!  Definitely a compliment in my book, I have always loved her voice and music going back into the 80s.

thought this track was great.  it seemed mellower to me than some of the other tracks with more space.  but i also like the other tracks you've been posting with the busier drums too, they just have a different vibe.  great job!

Thanks Budo, I really appreciate your feedback. It's interesting, it does seem the mellow tracks are better received but yet I often prefer the busier tracks.
