I recently upgraded from Pianoteq 5 to 8 so I could download it to my iPad, which I've now successfully done. Probably a rookie question to the technically savvy (not me), but I'm wondering how I connect my iPad to my keyboard. At present my Pianoteq is run by a laptop using a Midi cable. Is something similar available for the iPad connection? I should be very grateful for help on this.
Is it a newer iPad with USB-C or an older iPad with a Lightning connector?
Does your keyboard support MIDI over Bluetooth?
Does your keyboard have a 5-pin DIN MIDI output or USB or both?
Do you want to dedicate the iPad to the keyboard and leave everything connected all the time, or do you plan on disconnecting the iPad from the keyboard and using it for other things when you're not playing?
The options will depend on the answers to those questions.
