Topic: Bottom and top keys are silenced and whole keyboard is half a step off

i know it's not an issue with the keyboard itself and i am not using the demo versions to get that out of the way. the whole thing is half a step off and it's really annoying to not have access to the end keys as well. i cant for the life figure out why this has happened as it never used to be like this.

My best guess is that you're set to transpose at the bottom of the MIDI settings window.  Check there are make sure it's set to 0.  Also check that there aren't any MIDI settings that change transposition assigned to any MIDI I/O events under the Global MIDI Mapping (the bottom half of that same window).

Try factory reseting your piano. I had an issue with top A (A88) and I realised I'd set a transpose by mistake on my PX-S 5000. Did the trick for me, oroku

Hope this helps,

Re: Bottom and top keys are silenced and whole keyboard is half a step off

Maybe have a look at the advanced tuning window. I could gray out the top and bottom keys by restricting the MIDI range to 22..107 in the Keyboard Mapping window, and any value other than 440 (415?) in the Diapason entry shifts the tuning.

Oroku,

May I ask what keyboard you're using. I'm sure you're right in saying it's not an 'issue' with your keyboard, certain not an issue that cannot be resolved...

By the way, welcome to the Pianoteq forum,

Warmest regards,

Chris
