I first bought Pianoteq (exactly!) 6.5 years ago.
There are so few purchases you make in life that turn out to be such a great investment like PTQ is!
I started with the Stage back when it was v4, then upgraded my way to Pro, which was another great purchase.
Not sure why it's only marketed for professionals.. I'm an amateur and I enjoy it a lot!
I love the endless options and fine-tune levels I get with the Pro version!

I'm in the same boat - purchased on V3 I think - and it's been one of the best investments in software that I've ever made.
Yes, I love Ptq much too. I have been on board since 2013 and have now Pro. Pianoteq is a truly stunning piece of software, extremely impressive.
And, don’t forget, the support is very good. I have always got help when needed.

Yes one of my favourite vst instruments. To me the best for piano and without equal.
As for "Pro" lots of highly unprofessional cheap products are marketed as "pro". At least here it genuinely is their top product so it makes some sense!
The Stage and Pro names sound better than say Basic, Standard and Extended.
Stage is probably the least logical branding, after all a stage is where you would find a professional!

+1 on everything you said - their customer support is excellent.
I have nothing but praise for every aspect of Pianoteq. Besides being arguably the most playable, responsive and convincing piano VST software program/app, the support, forums and value of Pianoteq (bang for buck) is so very impressive. Modartt could charge so much more for piano models, upgrades etc., instead, they concentrate and making the best possible modelled percussive instruments possible. Not to mention the amazing free instruments!!!
