Topic: Edifier S3000 Pro Speakers - L/R speaker wireless latency??

The S3000 Pro speakers have great specs and are decent value for money, considering all the advanced features they have, including high-spec built-in amps in both speakers.

Connection from your device to speakers can be optical, USB, RCA and of course the dreaded Bluetooth.

However, there is no wired option in regards to the left and right speakers being paired together.
The technology used is "KleerNet" - much higher bandwidth/quality/speed than Bluetooth, but nonetheless wireless.

This is the only thing raising a red flag for me on these otherwise superb quality and powerful speakers.

Their frequency range of 38 - 40K Hz, along with 256 total RMS would be fantastic for beefy extended-range piano music.

BUT is the wireless L/R pairing a deal-breaker??

Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

For me "low latency" is indeed a deal-breaker. Wires with no latency is not an option. Just my 2 cents.

Edit: I'm using other Edifier models since a few months. With wires ;-) And I'm +/- satisfied.

Yes, it's not worth the risk, after further reflection!

Which models do you use?

I want enough power for a decent grand piano bass!

Edifier R1855DB.
Cool for "on the road" use in an hotel room, really nice sound, but not enough power for everyday use.

Thanks for that.
I'll reference the specs of the R1855DB when looking for other options, knowing how much power isn't enough!

The Edifier R2850DB was on offer, so I've gone for those!
150W RMS and 8" woofers should do the job.......

Thanks again!

Update:

Very powerful speakers!
Thanks to those 8" woofers, the sub-bass I can hear down to at least 30Hz, albeit increasingly quieter.

"Bookshelf Speakers" - I think not!! To paraphrase the guy from Jaws "We're gonna need a bigger bookshelf..."

I've heard that new speakers need breaking in - a few Mahler symphonies should do the job, but the sound quality is already very satisfying.

Currently £280 on overclockers.co.uk + £8 next day delivery.

Highly recommended - after mooching through countless speaker reviews on the web, I'm now as happy as a Mome Rath!!
