Topic: Wave (Pianoteq)

here's one of the great warhorses in the book, Tom Jobim's "Wave."  of course it has been played by so many people; two famous versions are by Oscar Peterson and Ahmad Jamal.  it's another one of his fantastic progressions.  i really like the bass movement on the bridge.

Although I am not familiar with your kind of music, I can feel your energy flow.
Love it.
Thanks, budo

Ah budo, that was real storm, not only one wave! What a journey! You ”wandered” far enough but didn’t get lost

Great impro!  In my opinion you are magical on the keys, and I love how much fun you obviously have playing this piece !

I always find special sections in your pieces that I love much, but there are so many here. The chord! 1,30!    And several places with the nice ”climbing high notes” as in 2,41 . 2,43 I like those places. And those forte chords 3,18 - 3,24 before the ending chord.

You are amazing, Please keep it coming. Best wishes all the way from Finland!

Stig

P.S. here is another player I listened to before I found you. He is improvising same piece, he is blind. But now , for me, budo rules

thank you so much for your comments.  and thanks for pointing out the performance by Shider.  he had a really interesting approach to it.  i really like the way he reharmonized the bridge.  he also gets a great groove going here!
