Topic: M2 chip ok?

Hi all,

This may be a stupid question, but does the Mac M2 chip work ok with Pianoteq?

I only ask because on the user area it says "macOS, v808, Intel/Apple M1 universal binary" for the download.

I might treat myself to a new MacBook Pro, and having Pianoteq not work would be tragic

Thx

Yes, absolutely.

Re: M2 chip ok?

It's just a more powerful version of the M class processing. It's perfectly reasonable question. Basically you don't need to ask if a more powerful M processor comes along, just as you don't need to ask if an i9 processor will work when a software house says i5 or better.

Re: M2 chip ok?

I recently upgraded one of my 2 Pianoteq setups to a mac mini M2. It runs perfectly well even at 96 KHz, playing fast arpeggios with the pedal down.
