Topic: Chopine Prelude in C minor op 28 nio 20 (Organteq)

I’m using several new ”stops combinations” (look at the windows) which I think fits the mood of the music. Powerful Organteq.

The Prelude Op. 28, No. 20, in C minor has been dubbed the "Funeral March" by Hans von Bulow but is commonly known as the "Chord Prelude" due to its slow progression of quarter note chords.

Chopin's Funeral March first appeared in the 1830s. It was the third movement in his Sonata No. 2 in B-flat Minor — a stunning, haunting work.
The Marche funèbre / Funeral March, exists in countless arrangements and has been performed at funerals all over the world (including Chopin's own), having become an archetypal evocation of death.

another beautiful performance.  i've never heard this done on organ before but it makes perfect sense.  this was one of my favorite pieces as a kid.  i think i ripped off a lot of harmony from it and teleported it to my current playing.  the end cadence Ab Db G7 Cm is still as surprising to me today as it was then.

Thanks for your interesting comment budo. Yes, this piano piece sounds excellent on Organteq with many different registrations. Indeed, surprisingly, it's amazing!

Stig, this is incredible! You make this Prelude sound as if it were composed for organ originally. In fact I prefer your way.
Powerful and moving!

Best wishes,

When I first encounter this piece, many years ago, I felt weird.
I felt something wrong with it.
Though it sounds great on a piano, I felt that it should be an organ work.
And Stig, you demonstrated this.
It is more natural for the organ than the piano.
Good work.
