Topic: Pianoteq and Musescore on Windows creating problem

Dear Community,

I tried using Pianoteq and Musescore on a Windows 11 PC simultaneously. Unfortunately, only one program can run at a time. At first guessed maybe the MIDI resource might cause the problem. It would be nice to compose and directly write the song for Musescore.

Does Mac Computer have the same problem?
Does anybody have a similar problem or a solution to this problem?

With kind regards Stephan

are you using pianoteq as VST instrument in MuseScore ? It works well on Mac big sur  despite the many open issues with MuseScore 4.

Re: Pianoteq and Musescore on Windows creating problem

Not to my knowledge. Honestly, I don't know what VST means and how to use it in Musescore.

pianoteq can run as a standalone application or as a VST so it can be used as plug-in in other software such as DAW( logic, pro tools) or music notation software such as MuseScore . In MuseScore 4 launch the mixer window and in the sound tab ( select VST3 and you will see Modartt  and be able to use  pianoteq directly from within MuseScore without launching the 2 applications separately and that will fix your issue .

Re: Pianoteq and Musescore on Windows creating problem

Yes, I found the menu and tried to run it as you described. But then it all freezes up. Musescore 4 seems to have some more problems. Even the PDF Export does not work properly. Doesn't matter. In a few weeks, I'll be working with a Mac. Maybe this will improve the situation. Thank you for your help.
