Topic: Metronome time signature / midi control?

Hi there,

Is there a way to select or page through the metronome time signatures via midi?

I think the answer is no (I was able to control the tempo, however).

If no, could I make a feature request?  I think a midi message like a CC could just pick the next available time signature, and cycle around when it gets to the end of the list; maybe there is a better way.

I am loving Pianoteq, I am a new user!  I just practice from lessons, but yesterday I set up my pedals so I can start and stop the metronome and change the tempo, look forward to using that in the future.

why don’t you use the VST version of pianoteq within a DAW instead . Any DAW will do that ( in logic , you would load the score , import the tempo , set the metronome , blank all notes , load pianoteq as the instrument , and then you are done , start playing and the metronome will change the tempo according to the original time signatures .

Well, I don't have Logic and I don't really want to add a DAW to my process when I just need to control the metronome.  Thanks for the interesting idea, though.

Hi,

Don't know what kind of setup you have.  But another option, if it fits your setup, would be to try the web application from your phone.  This application would allow you to control Pianoteq like metronome and other settings as well.

You can find try it out here: http://ptq-web-client.s3-website-us-eas...onaws.com/

For this to work, you need to start Pianoteq with JSONRPC enabled and use either Safari or Firefox with the link above.

The open source project with more information is located here: https://github.com/robert-rc2i/ptq-client-webapp

Disclaimer, I build this project.  So a bit bias here

Cheers.
