Topic: Bach BWV 553 Prelude and fugue (Organteq 2 new vers.)

I wanted a new different version of this 553 with new tough registration but Mac mini late -14 has too little cpu, too many tasks in this piece. The registration became easier, not what I had wanted.
For me, Organteq 2 requires the M4, the most recent generation of Apple Silicon. It was introduced in October 2024 Mac mini.
Specifications after video if interested. So far I have not been able to use tutti with this computer. My mac mini is 10year old!!

For interested:

Memory M4 chip: 16GB  24 or 32.
Storage: 256GB SSD  512GB  1 TB   2 TB

Apple M4 chip
10-core CPU with 4 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores
10-core GPU
Hardware-accelerated ray tracing
16-core Neural Engine
120GB/s memory bandwidth

M4 16GB about 1249€ Finland

All the best, everyone

Re: Bach BWV 553 Prelude and fugue (Organteq 2 new vers.)

i thought it sounded great!  i didn't notice any issues.

one possibility, if your computer is not sufficient to handle the real-time computations, is to produce a flac file of your performance offline.  then record your video without producing any sound at some lower performance spec.  you can then combine the video with the audio for the final product, and you will have the audio at the full level of performance you want.

Great Performance Stig, You play this piece exactly as I would have liked to play it if I were a good organist.
A truly excellent choice of tempi and registers.
