a successful composition by D. Buxtehude. Unfortunately, music by this composer is played too rarely. I have read that JS Bach made a visit to D. Buxtehude in Lübeck. JS Bach greatly appreciated the music of D. Buxtehude.
Your music recording is very beautiful. Many thanks for the beautiful music recording.

Thank you Unruh. Regarding your reading about Buxtehude I think this might interest you.
I had to find out the truth about the visit to Buxtehude, for my students 40 years ago and it is a fantastic event. Even though he was too long at Buxtehude, Bach had a stand in who took care of his job but it didn't help when he had to explain himself, 4 months away instead of one! A strange protocol is preserved from the interrogation !!!
He forgot to return on time. It was well into February by the time he was back at his post in Arnstadt, meaning that he had stretched his leave of absence by almost four months. When he returned home, the church authorities let him know it. A fascinating transcript/protocol survives of the "minutes" of a meeting to which Bach was called to explain himself.
Bach transported a number of manuscripts that he had made of Buxtehude’s music. The older composer died just a year later, and it is partly thanks to Bach that his music was preserved and disseminated.
Best wishes,
Stig
