Topic: Moon River (U4 Tall Concert, Pianoteq 8.4)

This song is one of my all time favorites. Even so, this release is a bit of an accident — while working on some other pieces to share I interleaved this into one of my practice sessions earlier this month, and this take came out so nicely on the U4 that I just had to release it and share with all y'all. I'm quite relaxed with the tempo to start, and I also had some fun with the ornaments (not sure why those fell to hand, but I like them). I very much enjoyed how the U4 fills out the soundscape as the piece progresses; to me it fits perfectly with the nostalgia & wistfulness I feel when performing this song.

Thank you again Kerri for beautiful playing, great interpretation. Wonderful slow intro and from about 1,50 coming the growing sublime middle part, then a very nice ending. Interesting that you continue to use U4. I like that, you get so nice sound from it.
Always nice to listen to you playing.

Best wishes,

Stig

Dear Kerry,

Your Rock! I'm still dreaming on your nostalgic and sweet notes of Moon River...
I've always liked this song but you play it really in a superlative, melancholic way. It's like a dear friend who comes back to visit you after 30 years... so many memories.
Thanks for sharing it.
Greetings from Italy
