Never mind - I did a general Google for MIDI Event Modartt (rather than searching the forum) and it took me to this 2018 post. Gave me enough to figure it out. I needed to create a custom Global MIDI Mapping "profile" (starting with the existing default, "Minimalistic", which can't be saved over) , save that, and make it my default.

I'm hosting Pianoteq 7 in Cakewalk. I have a bank of my favorite presets for live and streaming. "Assign MIDI Event" is working for me (using my iPhone via rtpMIDI). But the MIDI Event isn't saving, so I have to relearn it every time I load Cakewalk and Pianoteq. Any suggestions? I've saved the individual presets after assigning the event - not sure if the event is a property of the preset or the bank.
