You were right that Pianoteq has a very large range that is outside of the normal range of most of their presets. I think the one on the left you were referring to was a 3 layer instrument with the Cimbalom pretty much taking over the sound. On the right I also took the "ruined" preset and further ruined it but I think it was so far ruined it sounded less out of tune and more as sound effects.

Thanks for the share of your Honky Tonk experiment, it it both fun and interesting to push some things, especially if one listens to a lot of standard piano sounds. Maybe some of these remind me of my childhood where we had a piano that I believed was tuned just once my entire childhood.

Thanks,
Ken

Really 6 pianos sharing duties. This takes the idea of the Emotion Piano recent release and uses only Pianoteq for all instruments with only a reverb on the master track to bring things together. Some of the pianos are tweaked to rather extremely levels and don't sound good on their own but perhaps together with some normally tuned parts it can add a nice contrast.

Here are a couple of tracks (back to naming each song as I found it too difficult to refer back to specific tracks when not separated)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHZmz91...mp;index=6

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niC041J...mp;index=9

Here are all 20 tracks:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=O...JOxgiXpl2M

Soon I post a follow up with these same songs routed only to two "normal" pianos for a comparison.

Enjoy!
Ken
