			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Continuing on my journey...</p><p>Here&#039;s my simplified (ie the rhythm has been stripped from the melody) transcription of Bob Miller (1895-1955) &#039;s tune, &quot;Rocking Alone In an Old Rocking Chair&quot;</p><p><a href="https://www.dropbox.com/s/ry624hrrk9ln866/Rocking%20Alone%20%28In%20An%20Old%20Rocking%20Chair%29.pdf?dl=0">https://www.dropbox.com/s/ry624hrrk9ln8...9.pdf?dl=0</a></p><p>The reason for simplification is to study how the melody is enhanced by the chosen chords (well the one I chose - I think they&#039;re close enough) to convey the emotion of the words. Clever stuff I&#039;m hoping to emulate one day in my own delvings.</p><p>You can hear many versions on YouTube from various artists. I recall when I first heard it as a child at my grandparents on a record by Micky &amp; Griff; always liked it ever since.</p>]]></content>
