Re: The Definitive Presets
Hi Andrea
I have read all the comments on this thread with interest. I also happen to think you are very brave to call your presets 'Definitive!' Don't stop posting.
I have listened to some of your .fxp's, particularly the Bosendorfer. I believe that your Bosendorfer is very good, but, alas, on my equipement it doesn't sound like any of the recordings. I will tell you that I use Sony DJ MDR-V700 headphones and ESI nEar Experience 05 nearfield monitors. On both the monitors and the headphones the .fxp has a whining / singing treble. I sincerely believe that you should try out your .fxp's on headphones (good ones if you can afford them), just so you get a different perspective on the sound. Even better still, invest in the AKG's that Pianoteq use (the model is mentioned earlier on in this thread).
I can hear Boendorfer in your .fxp so don't change your .fxp yet. You could even record yourself playing the .fxp onto a CD and play it on different CD players / speakers to see what results you get. Only after you have heard the results do I suggest altering your settings. However, always keep a copy of the one that works on your HI Fi system speakers!
Below, I humbly include my own attempt at a Bosendorfer. It has sounds in it that I also hear in your Bosendorfer .fxp's.
Here's my attempt at a Bosendorfer?

Please don't feel I'm criticising you, I'm not.
And keep posting,
warm regards,
