I don't know.  Something seems wrong with their website.   I bought the upgrade for 8 from 7.5.4; however I can't log into the user area from the computer that's actually running Pianoteq.  Also Pianoteq says 7.5.4 is the latest release.

Did you log out and then log back in?  For some people, not logging out first was the problem.

I don't know.   I don't know if that machine is logged in.   All I  know is I can't login on that machine.   Support reset my password, but that did nothing and I just used my old password to log in to the forum to make this post.

However we cannot make promises for the whole lifetime of version 8, as it becomes more and more complicated to support old versions of macOS with each update of developer tools and hardware from Apple.

That's strange, it did not notice any issue when I tried with macOS 10.11 here.

Pianoteq is a quality operation IMO. No doubt they will get all of this squared away ASAP. ;- )

Had similer problem. If possible, if you have a friends mac or a later version laptop. Mount the installer there, view contents and drag the installer to a usb. Then install on your mac desktop. Worked for me!

The oldest MacOs version supported for version 8 is now 10.11, as mentioned here: https://www.modartt.com/pianoteq#pane_pianoteq_features

It was previously 10.7 (still ok for Pianoteq 7) but Apple is moving very fast these days and dropping a lot of things...

Thank you for your reply. BUT when I purchased the upgrade it was DEFINITELY stated that it supported OSX 10.9 and above. (If my memory serves me correctly there was ALSO a page where it stated that it supported OSX 10.8 and above). I was SURE that my OS was compatible or else I would not have upgraded.

I trust that Pianoteq will refund my upgrade price, because at the present moment moving my entire plugin library/ DAW to a new Mac is impossible.

(This is a REAL downer BTW) : (
