If the latter what DAW?
What operating system?Sound interface in exclusive or shared modes?
Usually you should use exclusive modes which shut off other sources of sound anyway.I'm using the standalone program on Windows 10 and it has the problem with any sound interface mode. Weirdly enough, I'm pretty sure that even in the exclusive mode I could hear other programs before this issue started happening.
