Pianoteq has a Celeste Pedal. It's not used in (almost?) all preset, but you can switch one of the three pedals to it.
If you increase the Celeste Pedal level, you get the felt sound. If you click it, you can even define the thickness of the "felt" that is simulated.

Interestingly, the Felt presets have inversed the use of the Celeste Pedal. There if you increase it, the feltness decreases.
So if I understood it right, yes - they're the same instruments. With the Celeste Pedal you can turn any normal preset into a felt piano and vice versa.
Increasing the key release noise also adds to the typical felt sound.

With my MIDI keyboard, I have assigned the Celeste Pedal to the modwheel, as I really like to finetune or adjust it.

hello, as the manual describes different presets are just different parameters value on user interface or mic placement with the same instrument,
but when I compare "NY Steinway D Felt I" and "NY Steinway Model D" with same parameters value and same mic placement, they just sounds very different???
"Felt I" 's high notes are shorter and sharp attack compare to the "Model D"
