Totally disabling the hardware is indeed a bit too much. Probably maximum 3 de-ativations/activations (after the initial 3) per year would have been more sensible. But it is what it is.

But what if I want to do a gig? Having to choose to permanently discard a piece of hardware seems unnecessarily limiting.

Gday I'm trying to develop a portable rig and want to try out hardware. Is it possible to get a fourth license or somehow be able to deactivate one slot but be able to use it again on the same hardware? I want to be able to test some different configs without losing access from my current machines.

I reached out to support but haven't heard back yet, and the project clock is ticking!
