The reason being, string tension simulates the strings become too slack or too tight to achieve that particular tuning, so it's good if you want to simulate a SPECIFIC acoustic instrument tuned that way.
Full rebuild, on the other hand, basically "redesigns" the whole instrument with the same constrains/desired results, so the strings will have the appropriate tensions and not too slack or too tight, and the sound is closer to the one of the original instrument BEFORE the tuning (but would be different from what an acoustic instrument retuned to that different temperament)
Hope this helps understanding why we have the two options, rather than just saying "I should always do this, the other option is useless"

TL;DR - why is Pianoteq doesn't have that strong/ rich bass sound if I use equal temperament below 13TET?
I love Pianoteq and I have it since few months. Usually I play in 12 TET, 19TET and 31TET on keyboard and Launchpad X. But if I play more then 13 TET in an octave, somehow the lower I play, the piano sounds more like "steel" and "lack of weight". It doesn't have that "rich overtones"
I am sure I installed it correctly. I don't alter the settings often as well. I know that I don't more than 88 keys in my piano, so I have less octave to play when I play more than 12TET. Probably I miss some knowledge about equal temperament but the more I play, the more I want to know why. Is it normal that it works like that in Pianoteq? If not, which problem I probably had?

in the advanced tuning window, do you have it set to "String tension" or "Full rebuild"? i find that, whenever i want to mess around with the tuning (like reversing the keyboard direction, a fun experiment) "Full rebuild" gives better results.
