Just added an FXP for a pop music staccato sound. Crisp attack. Not for realism, doesn't sound harsh though.

I do think that the damping duration slider under the Action Panel should do the trick. It is available for people having the Standard version at least.

I would say that the Jazz presets (for example in NY Steinway D) are already quite snappy - I'm not sure if it's realistically possible to reduce the release time much further. Check the note-off velocity curve, by default it's set to maximum, which will make the release as snappy as it can be.

If you have Pro, you can try adjusting Note Edit / Damping Duration - I had a quick fiddle with it, needs caution because it can sound very synth-like if you reduce too much.

You are able to reduce the release time in 4Front's TruePianos (which is both sampled and modeled) but not in Pianoteq, why is that?

We suggested before that as a sort of a more synthesiser feature that envelopes could be added per voice for pianteq pro but I don't think the boss likes the idea too much.

You are able to reduce the release time in 4Front's TruePianos (which is both sampled and modeled) but not in Pianoteq, why is that?
