Nice surprise to discover this piece. I like Jobim’s music too. Desafinado became my favourite when I heard it on radio 1962, the version with Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd.
And your playing,
”…but it's a beautiful chord progression with some of his typical touches”. Yes budo, and you have so good understanding of the rhytm and harmonization in your own way. Precise and well-sounded, now good piano sound too Like it. And as I have said before, have to repeat myself, I like how much fun you obviously always have, playing music. Your improvisations always make me smile and I think Jobim would be glad to listen to your version too. A symphony of colours. Beautifully played!
