Agreed. Plus people generally overestimate the bass frequency content of the piano sound! A solid response down to about 45Hz is all you need.

How low do your Genelec go?  45Hz ?  Probably no need for a subwoofer

Good loudspeakers make a substantial difference to enjoying any media. It's sad how few people have experienced a great stereo system. It's a quality of life difference.

I need to go through all the piano presets again. there are so much more nuances to hear now...

i had decent desktop speakers already, but last week i got myself some genelec 8030c monitors.
now it really feels like i have a real piano in front of me.

funny enough, i always thought i needed to upgrade my keyboard to a keyboard with better key action (which at some point i will do), but now that i have these monitors, i feel perfectly fine with the keyboard. what was missing for a fully 'immersive' piano experience was the sound, not the keys... (and yes, i have good headphones too, but decent monitors are a totally different thing)
