The pre-delay triggers a sort of sound repetition, it should be handled with caution because it will produce phase shifts that modifies the note frequency content. A better way to handle this problem may be to change the quantity of the reverb with the "Mix" slider. We "accepted" this defect in Pianoteq because "Recording" presets mimick the context of a real recording sessions where the sound engineer also has to live with the quirks of the instrument. We try not to make many note to note adjustments for these presets.

Hi,
So far I've been using mostly the "basic" "binaural" and "player" presets of the grand pianos which I find beautiful. I am currently testing some "recording" presets (the Bechstein ones sound particularly good) but I have a problem with the "classical recording" preset of the Petrof Mistal, particularly audible around the G2 A2. Like a second sound a fraction of a second after the base note. I thought about delay or reverb, but it seems to be due to the microphones. Do you hear the same thing?
