Is it the same sound for all notes? Does it stop again by itself? Does it mix with the piano sound or does it replace it? "Almost like a rasor (razor?)" - something like humming with many noisy overtones? This would be typical for serial digital communication interfering with audio lines... How is the keyboard connected to the computer?

I've never heard such a noise.

Are you using Pianoteq in standalone mode or as a VST?

At first, I thought that you might be clicking on the outermost edge of the keys, playing the very highest velocity strikes (which you won't reach often in regular playing), so that you were hearing the very hardest attack. But then I reread your post--you say you're hearing a strange sound after releasing notes too. Is your volume too high, so the sound is clipping?

You might post an mp3 in the Files section to demonstrate the sounds.

Well, i'm in 3.5.1, OSX10.5.8,
and it happens on every preset.

I must admitt, i'm testing for the moment with mouse-clicking & headphones...

Dear all,

being new to pianoteq & this forum, i would like to ask you a question;

are any of you having problems with a strange sound (almost like a rasor?) after holding down a note for like 5-7 seconds?
And then, 1second after releasing the note, another strange sound?
