			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>The sustain duration is directly associated to duration of the vibrations of the free strings (without dampers), and these depend on the soundboard impedance. So if you want longer sustain, you need to increase the soundboard impedance. Note that the duration of the notes with or without sustain pedal cannnot be dissociated, as both are governed by the same underlying soundboard mechanical property. However you can make the sustain resonance more or less loud with the sympathetic resonance slider. Besides, one thing that can give the sensation of longer notes is to decrease the direct sound duration (mentionned in some other threads).</p>]]></content>
