Pianoteq Stage is not a specific instrument.  It is a version of Pianoteq that comes with two instruments/instrument packs (such as Steinway D and one other of your choice).  Pianoteq Standard comes with three instruments of your choice, and some additional features.  There is a chart comparing the different versions of Pianoteq.  You can upgrade from Stage to Standard at any time. The instruments, such as Steinway D, sound exactly the same whether you get Stage or Standard or Pro. By the way, there is a very good offer for Pianoteq Standard on this Forum that includes the Steinway D package as well as two other instrument packages.  It is only a little more expensive than Pianoteq Stage.  Just FYI in case you are interested.

Hi again. I understand now, I wasn't aware that you can have the Model D, while purchasing the piano teq stage. I was under the impression that you have to pay extra for it. I am going to purchase the stage version, and use the model D version for recording. Thank you.

You could choose the Steinway D pack which includes two different D pianos. The D pack counts as only one pack, so you would be free to choose another pack, say the electric pianos, or the Petrof piano pack (another two piano pack).

All three versions are Pianoteq. Stage is Pianoteq, as is Standard and Pro. Pianoteq is the product name applying to all versions.

From the Pianoteq product page:

"Concerns new purchases from 2019 onward. During registration, you can choose two instrument packs with the Stage version, three with the Standard version and four with the PRO version. These instrument packs are fully working whereas remaining instrument packs are available in demo mode for your evaluation. You can purchase additional instrument packs at any time.

"[2] In PIANOTEQ Stage, preset loading is limited to parameters that are present in the interface. Presets built with PIANOTEQ PRO can be loaded in PIANOTEQ Standard without limitation."

Where those preset demos say "customised" you could need Standard (or Pro) to hear those customisations.
