I think the dog was wondering why I was sat on the beach not going anywhere.</p><p>Doing music pieces is rather like baking a cake, you never quite know how it&#039;s going to turn out. I inadvertently wandered into a Reddit sh*tstorm when I mentioned Einaudi as a contemporary classical composer people listened to and just to defend my position I had to learn up more about him than I originally planned. So that&#039;s partly why the Italian title (Google translate from &#039;scuffed traces&#039;) and also because I built the piece upon a 19-edo tune I did a couple of years ago called &#039;La Luna e I Falo&#039; (The Moon and the Bonfires) which was inspired by the Pavese novel, and Pavese worked for the Einaudi publishing company, of whom he is a descendent. Too much information, sorry!</p>]]></content>
