I'm quite new to pianoteq and would like to create this piano sound:

Is it possible to get close to this sound with pianoteq? I would be great if you can point me in the right direction.

It's sort of a softer sound, so maybe the Hamburg model D?

I nearly forgot to mention drastic changes to both Hammer hardness and Sympathetic resonance (brought way down) but with Res Dur (brought slightly up).

Nevertheless, a passive equalizer —one that mimics a hardware unit— might bring out tones you're really likely after.  Although, that might require a very long learning curve if you're ever going to become familiar in a way an engineer is with the specific uses of one...

Personally, I'm myself just learning of some of the broad uses.

Have you tried the PIANOTEQ K2 Prelude preset, just as a starting point?

Wow, that's not bad!
I think I didn't notice this as a good candidate, since it has a little "ping" in it and missing the soft tones. Don't know exactly how to explain it.
Do you have some suggestions to modify this sound?

My reply to your question, "Can I create this piano sound with pianoteq?" seems a resounding "Yes!"

Although, you may need to use plugins such as compressors and equalizers commercially available outside of MODARTT to match effectively the piano sounds of any sort of a piano instrument recording: whether or not it's taken from a professionally recorded instrument.

First tried some preset piano's:

• M3 player –> nice clear sound, missing warmth at lower keys

• M3 Close Mic –> To hard tones

• Steingraeber Bright –> Clear but maybe too hard, it sounds different than the piano on the video

• Steingraeber recording 1 –> Missing the warm lower keys bass

• Steingraeber warm – missing the lower keys warmth.

M3 player is my best guess. Now I did some changes in the config of this piano preset:

• Playing with the EQ: add lower freqs: preset rock

• 7th overtone + 3db

• More reverb: Reverb preset: smooth spring

But in the end it sounds muddiness and not like the piano in the video at all.
