Hi Stig!

Thank you very much I'm glad you enjoyed it. I didn't know the raindrop prelude - though I appreciate Chopin a great deal. So I have already benefitted from your comment :-). I think that with Ptq, stiking the same note multiple times has a pleasing effect that sample based libraries can't offer. Its like hitting a bell.
All the best -
Take care
Eran

Pianoteqenthusiast wrote:

etalmor wrote:

This is a free improvisation using the wonderful NY Steinway D Gentle. It's was very inspiring to play with.
(OBS had some audio issues towards the end)

https://youtu.be/6u3ILEbCROE

Hello etalmor,

Interesting improvisation. For some reason I liked this, but I didn’t know why. After a while I understood, my thoughts went to Chopin, “Raindrop” prelude
(Op. 28 No. 15). You are playing the same tone and around it with returning to the same tone, in the beginning. And nice to hear Steinway Gentle.

Chopin spent once a lot of time listening to the repetitive drip-drip-drip of the rain outside, which is said to have inspired the repetitive Ab note.

Thanks for sharing. Stay well and safe.

Best wishes,

Stig
