Well, if you want a three-pedal box with one continuous output, there isn't much choice as far as I know. I booted up my Mac Boot Camp to upgrade the firmware but I'd assume that the current firmware will stay current for quite awhile since it seems to work fine.

As to how to use the pedals... I guess you use them the same way you would on a real piano. I've mapped them to my GPP3, of course (sustenuto to the middle pedal) and I've also mapped them to my controller, since all but the sustain pedal may be active for long periods. Truth is, I use the una corda and sustain pedals all the time but the other two not much at all. But I'm glad they're there.

Thanks, Doug.

I read the reviews and user comments on the CME forum. CME does not offer Mac OS X support for firmware updates. Also, many forum members state the same thing that you did about CME never returning email or phone calls. Therefore, I would not consider supporting such a company.

However, can someone please tell me HOW to use all 4 pedals that we see in Pianoteq?

Thanks very much.

David :-)

Hi. I'm new to Pianoteq. I've read the manual. It explains WHAT the 4 pedals are, but not HOW to use them. I'm sure it's simple, but I can't figure it out.

Also, I read the short forum topic about continuous sustain pedals for Pianoteq, but I'm still a bit confused. I looked on the Internet and found a few sustain pedals that say they offer "half sustain". What's that? Will it work with any keyboard and Pianoteq?

Would someone please look at the CME GPP 3 pedal (3 pedals) and give your insight as to whether or not this would work with Pianoteq?

Product description:
http://www.arbiter.co.uk/cme/products/c...pedals.htm

Product manual (PDF):
http://www.arbiter.co.uk/cme/products/c...manual.pdf

I have a Roland XV-88 keyboard. On the back, it has 3 jacks for pedals (Hold, Ctrl1, Ctrl2).

Thanks very much for your help and insight into how the Pianoteq pedals work, what we need, and any opinions or suggestions you have about the above pedals.

David
