<![CDATA[Modartt user forum - New User (Pianoteq 7 Stage) no audible result from Release effect]]> 2021-09-21T15:26:37Z PunBB https://forum.modartt.com/viewtopic.php?id=8818 <![CDATA[New User (Pianoteq 7 Stage) no audible result from Release effect]]> I just bought Pianoteq 7 Stage to use as a VSTi with Cubase Pro 11.    The stock pianos that come with Cubase are terrible so I needed a piano to compose with.    But what this means is I'm a total noob with PianoTeq.

I've been experimenting with the Comp controls and I don't hear any audible change from the Release effect.  4 ms to 1000 ms should make an audible difference, I think!    In the moving graph on the side there's a very dramatic visible difference, but there's no audible difference.  (I don't know how to post an image to show you)

The other controls in the Comp section produce audible changes as expected so I don't think there's any general problem with the compressor.

What I was hoping to achieve was a long, slow release such as you might hear in a classic DAW ADSR envelope with a large value of "R".   Is there any way to do that with this product?
